Of the many highlights from our visit to Mayakoba, one of the most unforgettable was a guided eco-tour through the winding waterways that connect the resorts. Paddling through crystal-clear lagoons, we marveled at the rich biodiversity of the region. Spotting tropical birds, turtles, and even the occasional iguana in their natural habitat was a humbling reminder of Mayakoba's commitment to environmental preservation.

After a day of adventure, we indulged in the region’s culinary delights. At one of the countless charming spots within Mayakoba, we sipped on a refreshing “Mayakoba Mule,” a twist on the classic cocktail featuring tequila, fresh ginger, and locally sourced lime. This vibrant drink perfectly captured the spirit of the area—refreshing, bold, and unforgettable.

For breakfast, “Chilaquiles” stole the show, a traditional Mexican dish that brings comfort and bold flavors to the table. Prepared tableside and served with sautéed tortilla chips bathed in a rich red or green salsa, topped with an egg, fresh cheese, cream, and a touch of cilantro, offering a hearty and satisfying meal that left us craving more. Each bite was a testament to the region’s culinary creativity and warmth.
