It's Mardi Gras y'all!
Sure, Alabama has a nice celebration, but our heart is in New Orleans. If you've been to this fine city, you know what we mean. New Orleans knows how to throw a party and has all the important elements covered for a good time. Want a great meal? Look no further. How about some fabulous music. Got that too. History and tradition? Its everywhere. Parades and Second Lines that are second to none? Indeed! And amazing people that we are happy to know....
Can't make it to Mardi Gras? Then pack this away for your next great "anytime visit"...start your day at Café du Monde with a café au lait and a beignet (don't wear black!), do some window shopping on Royal Street, and if its Friday and you're in the know, how about lunch at Galatoire's? At sunset, grab a Sazerac at the Roosevelt and hop the St. Charles Streetcar to the Garden District and gaze upon the beautiful homes along the way. Dinner at Commanders Palace? Yes! Then head back to the quarter for a Pimms Cup at the Napoleon House and wander on to find some great music and dancing...
Laissez les bons temps rouler!
